In the first battle of Tarain, Sultan Shahab-ud-Din Ghauri became very angry and furious because of the flight and defeat of his chiefs and generals. After a year of struggle, he raised an army of more than one lakh Turks, Khiljis, and Afghans. The kings of India at first had high hopes that the Sultan of the Muslims would not return to India after his defeat. This hope was shattered when he was informed that the Islamic Lashkar had reached Multan via Peshawar.

After staying in Multan for a few days, Sultan Shahabuddin Ghauri encamped in Lahore with his Lashkar-e-Jarrar. Rukn-ud-Din Hamza, one of his special and trusted generals, sent Raja Prithvi Raj and other princes and kings of India to Ajmer with a message of invitation to Islam. In response to this invitation, Raja Prithvi RajUsed vulgar words for the Sultan of Islam and Muslims and expelled Rukn-ud-Din Hamza from his court. At the same time, Prithvi Raj wrote letters to all the kings of India for his help. He left for help.

Thus, Prithvi Raj succeeded in gathering an army of 150 Rajas and 300,000 Rajputs. The army also reached the field of Tarain for the battle of truth and falsehood. He succeeded. He left Ajmer in 588 AH and encamped in the plains of Tarain on the banks of the river Saraswati.

The kings of India made a vow among themselves that they would not sit idly by until the Muslims were completely annihilated. I also wrote a letter to the Sultan after consultation. In which was written

“You must have known the strength and strength of the army of Hindu kings. The army we have is enough to destroy you and your army, but it does not end here. Fighters from India are still joining our Lashkar. We have mercy on you and advise you to go back. In which is your goodness. Otherwise, remember that tomorrow morning we will attack with our three thousand elephants and innumerable armies and as a result, you will have to flee with humiliation and disgrace. ”

After reading the letter, Sultan Shahabuddin Ghauri became angry at first, but later he made a clever war move and replied to the letter as follows.

“Your letter is full of feelings of love and sympathy. But I am compelled by my brother Ghias-ud-Din and he has ordered me to fight you. However, if I get enough time to tell my brother about the size and strength of your army, it may not be time for war. ”

A fierce battle ensued. Meanwhile, the Muslim army once again intensified its archery, injuring the elephants, and they retreated and trampled on their own army. Such a situation was very encouraging for the Muslim army. And in their successive attacks, many kings of hell, including Gobindrai, the brother of Prithvi Raj, perished. In this battle, Prithvi Raj escaped but unfortunately, he was captured by the Muslim army on the banks of the river Saraswati.

When he was presented to the Sultan, he assassinated the Prithvi Raj. Thus, the second battle of Tarain was decided in favor of the Muslims.
