Periodic Table:
The periodic table may be defined as the tabular arrangement of elements in such a way that the elements having the same properties are kept together.
So far a total of 118 elements 6 are known and the search for new elements is still going on. Each element in the environment has its own significance, some of which are useful while others are harmful. Harmful elements can be useful in other ways as well. Studying the chemical and physical properties of every element around us becomes a necessity because every element has something to do with our lives.
Because this number is so large and there is a possibility that more elements will be discovered, it becomes very difficult to study each of them separately. We need to categorize some groups according to their characteristics so that we can study them in groups more easily and efficiently. A periodic table is a tool used to classify known elements in groups. This helps us to study the various elements found in nature in a systematic way without which it would be impossible for us to study all the elements of the table.
Periodic tables can be used for the comparative study of elements and their compounds. The periodic table also helps us to analyze the intermittent trend in different properties such as ionization potential, electron affinity, electrical kinetic etc. Read more notes
